A large-scale re-roofing scheme delivered within a live care home environment, comprising 2,000sqm of pitched roofing works using fibre cement tiles and Thrutone slates—carefully managed to maintain safety, minimise disruption, and navigate challenging weather conditions.

OLD SCHOOL HOUSE

Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

The Old School House underwent a full roof refurbishment, including the restoration of 158m² of pitched roofing, an 18m² flat roof, and a 6m² bell tower. Original tiles were carefully removed and reinstated and insulation upgraded.

Pitched and flat roofing works. Replacement of slate and asbestos roof coverings to pitched roofs and a flame free bituminous overlay to the flat roofs including replacement roof lights and lead valleys.

HIGH STORRS SCHOOL, CLOCK TOWER REFURB

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Client: Minerva Learning Trust

The initial stages of the project involved completely stripping the old, damaged lead and applying a durable new lead overlay to this Grade II Listed Building.

BUXTON, DERBYSHIRE

VALUE: £430K

Strip and application of a pitched roof at a care facility. Our client, a care home facility accommodating elderly residents, faced the challenge of an ageing, deteriorating pitched roof.

BRUSHETT HOUSE

Bournemouth, Dorset

VALUE: £425k

Stoic Roofing & Construction undertook the strip and safe removal of an existing pitched roof and solar panels on a care facility in Dorset. The team then reinstated 1,150m² of durable and energy-efficient roofing.

SPRINGFIELD HOUSE

Location: Northampton

Size: 920m2

Manufacturer: Natural Welsh Slate

Works included erecting a temporary roof, stripping off the existing slates and battens, recovering the roof with new welsh slates, installing new loft insulation, renewing all flat and lead roof sections and re-rendering all chimney stacks.

CAMBERWELL COLLEGE OF ARTS

University of the Arts London

The Camberwell College of Arts project involved the restoration of a historic slate roof on a Grade II listed building within the college’s campus in South London. The project required the careful removal and replacement of over 4,500 natural Welsh slates while ensuring the roof’s historical integrity was maintained

RAVEN HOUSING TRUST FRAMEWORK

Surrey

Stoic Roofing & Construction have secured the 5 year re-roofing framework for Raven Housing Trust. Stoic will work closely with Raven Housing to deliver re-roofing projects to around 300 properties and assist with further reactive maintenance duties.

LEICESTER HOUSING FRAMEWORK

Leicester, Leicestershire

Stoic Roofing & Construction have secured the pitched roofing framework for Leicester City Council and are assisting in delivering over 400 properties over the 4 year framework. The total value of the framework is due to be in the region of £3m.
