KEMPSTON ACADEMY
FLAT ROOF, ROOF LIGHT REPLACEMENT, WINDOW REPLACEMENT, M&E WORKS
Stoic Roofing & Construction was instructed to undertake a comprehensive upgrade of a school in Bedfordshire. The scope of work included the installation of a new 1000m² flat roof, alongside the replacement of roof lights, and windows across two elevations in addition to the removal and reinstating of M&E (mechanical and electrical) equipment as required.
The main challenge of the project was to work around a live school and to ensure as minimal disruption as possible. The Stoic team ensured all critical access was completed before students and staff arrived on site each day. Roofing and Construction activities were confined to non-teaching areas or scheduled during the summer holidays. Strict safety and logistical planning was implemented to ensure the H&S of students, teachers and parents was not compromised. This ensured the school was able to remain fully operational throughout the project.
Despite the complexities, the team completed the project with the allocated 14-week schedule. Delivering a high-quality finish and exceeding the expectations of the client and consultant.
