COLCHESTER ACADEMY

Stoic Roofing & Construction was appointed to deliver a time-critical roof replacement at Colchester Academy in Essex. Covering 800sqm, the project involved the removal of an existing inverted roof and its ballast, carefully lifting off M&E services via crane, and installing a new high-performance built-up felt roofing system.
 

All M&E services were reinstated upon completion, with the project delivered entirely within a tight six-week summer holiday window. Working in a live school environment required meticulous planning and coordination to ensure safety, protect existing facilities, and guarantee the works were completed before students returned.
 

The completed roof provides a durable, weather-resistant solution that enhances the building’s long-term performance. This project highlights Stoic Roofing & Construction’s ability to deliver complex roofing works safely, efficiently, and on schedule, even under challenging time constraints.
