BARR BEACON ACADEMY SCHOOL

Condition Improvement Fund Bid (CIF Bid). A Birmingham Academy was experiencing deterioration due to ageing flat roofs. The school required a new overlay to existing flat roofs, including tapered gutters, new rainwater goods, new roof lights and the addition of roof-mounted permanent edge protection. 

 

Project: Following a successful tender and securing CIF funding Stoic Roofing and Construction, flat roof specialists were instructed by the academy to complete the making good of the flat and pitched roof areas. This was a phased approach due to the academy being operational, this approach ensured little to no disruption to students. 

 

The successful implementation of the felt overlay, rainwater goods, roof lights, rain gutter and edge protection has ensured the school and students will be safe and dry for years to come.
