CHAPELTOWN ACADEMY
Location: Chapeltown Engineering Block, Leeds
Value: £560k
Nature of works: Internal re-modelling, Electrical upgrades, Fire safety upgrades and MVHR Installation
We were appointed Principal Contractor after a 2 Stage tendering process for the design and construction for the new teaching facilities at Chapeltown Academy. Working closely with the trust to develop the design, ensuring the space was maximised to provide a new purpose built engineering block. Work also included converting an office block attached to the site into new teaching space to allow the school to expand its Sixth Form intake for the following year. Working to a tight timeframe, the project was completed on time and on budget alongside a glowing review from the client.
HABERDASHER ADAMS
Location: Newport, Shropshire
Value: £370k
Nature of works: Window and curtain walling replacement, internal making good and roof alterations
Following a successful tendering process, Stoic were employed to carry out the installation of new curtain walling to large sections of the school. Working closely with the school to minimise disruption to a part of the school that was logistically challenging, completion of the project was finished within the permitted program and well within the schools budget. The school was left with better ventilation, new ceilings and a watertight façade that had caused issues for years!
WORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL
Location: Worth, Kent
Value: £320k
Nature of works: Block replacement
Stoic have been appointed to carry out the demolition and construction of a new kitchen area. Works will comprise of demolishing the existing block and rebuilding to ensure a fully updated and compliant kitchen block, catering for 300 primary aged students.
EQUALS TRUST
Location: Brookside Primary School, Nottingham
Value: £600k
Nature of works: Safeguarding and internal re-modelling
Improvement works to the Equals Trust was part of works to the whole estate. Works comprised of a number of different elements, including re-modelling existing blocks to convert into more suitable and compliant teaching spaces, part of this was also decoration. New security fencing and access control was installed to improve safeguarding measures across 3 sites which also included landscaping works around the sites to improve the visual appearance as well as security.
